In parallel to addressing digital RF transmitters, the demonstrated concepts are extended to mmW communications (60GHz band) that offers wide bandwidth (> 8GHz) with no license. Handling such high bandwidth and data rates in digital systems is very challenging. We proposed and successfully demonstrated the highest speed digital baseband interpolation filter in 65nm CMOS (IEEE JSSC Jul 12). We measured a state-of-the-art 9.6GS/s frequency operation for the designed integrated circuit.

Subsampling-based 60GHz receivers are also studied and a promising architectures for IF-to6DC quadrature subsampling has been proposed in IEEE TCAS May 2013
